'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League return

Kane celebrates his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has diminished and he is prepared to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is currently midway through the four-year deal he signed when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.

The veteran forward has netted an outstanding 103 goals in 106 matches for the German side, playing a key role in them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which represented the maiden important achievement of his distinguished career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently mentioned that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England leader has now clarified that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he once was, and would certainly think about prolonging his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he stated.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so progresses and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different chances and different moments happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top scorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the speediest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had eluded him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would react after ending his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Ongoing success with Bayern Munich remains Kane's main focus
  • The possibility of a Premier League return has considerably decreased
  • New contract discussions could commence in the upcoming future
  • Kane's exceptional goal-scoring performance continues to impress
